They could add a legit top 6er with that cap space. I think its worth it.

Canes tell you to jump in a lake. Kotkaniemi's contract isn't bad and he isn't a disappointing player. Muzzin is an AWFUL deal and might be an LTIR case.

I can appreciate the fact this roster is from a few years ago though. When Freddie and Jack were the goalies.

I think Hurricanes jump on this. They could add a legit top 6er to center their second line with the gained cap space.

No, they pass HARD. There is a reason they gave up a 1st and 3rd to get KK. It wasn't revenge. He's a real good player. If they're going to move someone for cap space, it's probably Jordan Staal. Kotkaniemi's been excellent to start the year

Nah, he hasnt been. Canes have made a mistake he wasn't worth those picks and contract, it happens. 3 points in 12 games played with very good linemates. He's even dragging them down. Time to shop for better options IMO.

Yeah, he has been. You're trying to use points to measure his success... ignoring the fact that he completely takes the defensive burden off of two guys that struggle with that aspect of the game and that is why that line has changed? Kotkaniemi is a straight replacement on that line for Trocheck. They weren't doing this with Trocheck. They are with Kotkaniemi. Let that tell you something. You need to look past the production (he's also had GARBAGE luck but that's not the argument here)

Yeah, no, a real 2C HAS to produce, it's not just brownie points. That argument could be used for a guy like david kampf, not a so called second line center. He stinks and can't skate. Even Kerfoot would do better on that line

I know this is from 2 years ago, but the Kotkaniemi trade and contract remain hilarious.

What a fail by Carolina and all for Twitter clout.

No doubt. I meant to say that including Xhekaj in a trade will trigger the same reaction from Montreal fans as if someone includes Matthew Knies in a trade with Toronto.

Sure, because I’m the one who is blind to KK allowing both Svech and Necas to succeed offensively because of the defensive coverage that KK provides. Not everything is about offense. Maybe if Toronto took that to heart they might actually win something for a change.

Everybody think KK is a bad contract and a cap dump except you. You're stuck with him for 8 years.

Ask any other Canes fan about the KK contract and see what they say,

Canes don't entertain that offer because you would be asked for a 1st to even move Muzzin

Montreal also laughs this offer away. Trading a division rival one of the leagues up and coming tough guys spells disaster.

    Shouldn't cost a 1st and a 3rd and 44.66 million to find a somewhat competent defensive forward

Arber himself slams the phone down hanging up on T.O., He then heads down the highway and rag-dolls the entire Leaf's management team ala Kassian, before leaving he shuts down their "wi-fi" ! awesome face
