stylistically kostin is very similar to kane.

big, skates well, physical, nice shot, somewhat iffy defensively, takes too many minors. sound familiar?

I would rather try holloway or janmark in the top 6 than Kostin. The team needs help on the PK so I can't imagine Brad malone not coming up too. Benson is close to playing again.

I think if you bring up bourgault you send down Holloway.

the pk looked pretty good last night against a potent tampa PP.

malone is most valuable mentoring and leading tullio, savoie, bourgault, philp, lavoie etc.

Woodcroft has brought malone up in the past. The actual oilers players need mentoring

All for giving kostin an opportunity but he's gotta climb the ladder just like Holloway or Benson or anyone. Top six minutes is earned not handed out anymore.

He's not even an NHL player, parachuting him into the top-6 isn't going to end well.

Kostin has played 46 NHL games but it doesnt look like he is tearing it up at the AHL level. They say a player should be scoring a point per game in the AHL to be an average nhl player.
