Not enough for VT and Saad
Not close at all for Buch, that’s a pathetic offer

If STL cleared house, then that package would be enough for Buch imo

Nobody is taking Saad with is term. Just the way it is. While Saad is extremely consistent, if STL continues to flounder you have to move money out somehow and what other options does STL have?

Why would none take saad, he’s a defensive workhorses that puts up points

People would send in actual offers for him I’m sure

He's going to age like Steen did on his final contract in STL, that's why.

Term isn't bad, but Kapanen and a couple picks is a decent return for him given age.

Maybe on Buch deal. I guess it depends on where that pick ends up.

The protection probably makes it a yes for me.

(its been so long since we have had a pick in 20's...I am just autowired to assume it ends up at top of draft).

I always considered him a cozy warm blanket, but I think I like babysitter more. Great player, great character guy, can be a leader if they bring Russians into the organization. Plus, they can still trade him if the blues continue to suck in a few years

As a Caps fan I wouldn't hate it but it would have to come with an extension. But I also don't see a real need for O'Reilly. Caps are stacked at center as it is and that's without Backstrom.

Feel like the Blues should be able to do better for both Tarasenko and O'Reilly.

Trading Buchnevich is not a good idea. He should be the one "veteran" they should be looking to keep around IMO. At the very least, no need to sell him now whille he has a couple years left under contract.

At the end of the day, as long as Parayko/Faulk/Binnington/Thomas/Kyrou are under contract and on this team they're probably going to be trying to compete, even if they sell this year. If they're going to turn around and retool on the fly, there's no reason to trade Buchnevich for futures.
