  1. Lucius, Chaz
  2. 2024 2nd round pick (WPG)
Additional Details:
Severson signs 8x6.25 to play in home province of Manitoba.
Winnipeg moves one of their LHD if they are healthy at deadline.
Johnsson is just for extra forward depth, they take a chance on him producing with a fresh start. The have an estimated 11M in cap space at the deadline so they can afford the cap hit and if he doesn't work out they just send him down and no harm done.
WPG
  1. Johnsson, Andreas
  2. Severson, Damon
Additional Details:
Jersey feels Nemec is good enough to take over third pairing roll and even though they are likely a playoff team, they gain assets for an expiring contract.

We are keeping Nemec in AHL to preserve his slide.

Change Lucius and 2nd to Lambert and we bite.

Meier deal would depend on contract (and if we are paying that much, it would have to be a team-friendly number).

Just to make sure I understand, the Jets would give up a 1st round pick and a 2nd round pick for a RHD who is turning 29 this offseason, who outside of one outlier season at age 27 last year in which he scored 40 pts, is a career average 30 pt player and horrible defensively, and will sign him to a 6.25 x 8 contract that will take him through his age 36 season, whilst already having a superior offensive RHD in Neal Pionk signed for 2.5 more years, as well as Nate Schmidt and Dylan Demelo on the right side? Trade doesnt really make any sense no matter how you approach it from the Jets angle.

Might not be the greatest fit for the Jets but thinking Severson is bad defensively has no basis in reality.
