Both Monahan and Savard had been good but this remains too much going to MTL
MTL arent trading David Savard tho
Monahan is worth a 2nd + prospect right now, but we will keep him until the TDL and hopefully we can get more

Ottawa is looking for depth in both positions and both these players would fit.
If I removed one of the two picks or Kelly do you think it would work?

I can't see MTL trading David Savard at all :/ and no teams are paying two 1st round pick for David Savard

Kelly I don't think has any value in this trade as a fringe nhler. Ottawa would maybe be interested for a second rounder and that's about it right now. Monohan has been alright but nothing that great, still time for him to improve. Larsson and Kelly don't have any value in this trade as both are basically AHLers.

Habs are loaded with kids on D, I doubt they are interested in trading a veteran Dman who would be a perfect fit to help bring them along. He’s playing great, and he’s french. Language shouldn’t be an issue, but in MTL it is.

You’d have a better chance of landing Edmundson. I understand he’s a vet like Savard, but he’s a lefty. We’re deep on the left side. He could be expendable.

TBCH, I think you are barking up the wrong tree here. Montreal right now are in the playoff hunt (even though we shouldn't be) Hughes and Gorton have said all summer and in the early part of the season that they will let the players dictate what their plan is for the season. That means if we are close to a playoff spot at the deadline we will be adding not subtracting from the team. As of right now, HuGo looks like they will be looking to add by the TDL or at the very least standing pat and using our expiring contracts as our own rentals. Things could definitely change (I sort of hope they do but I would love to watch these kids get experience in the playoffs to build off going forward, even if it is a first round exit) but we look to be a bubble team right now and not as bad as everyone was saying we would be.

Sens shouldn't be trading away any futures for a upcoming UFA and Savard. Sens aren't making the playoffs this year, suck it up, and develop the young guys.

no chance in hell OTT has any interest in either those players and even less of a chance in hell they trade a 1st for either or both.
