I won't talk about the unrealistic trades
Let's talk about ECHL starting goaltender Samuel Montembeault and MTL being competitive

    Jets and leaf’s probably pass
    Caps may accept
    Oilers probably won’t give up a 1st
Not sure if pasta wants to go to Montreal
I bet Boston will probably resign him

If the season ended today, MTL is picking 16th. You are saying you expect them to play worse than we've seen this far, or you are saying the teams below them will play better?

ECHL starting goaltender?! Look at his stats this year, he is absolutely an NHL 1A goaltender he is ranked 13th in GAA compared to Allen's 29th and 8th in S% compared to Allen's 24th among goalies who have played 5 or more games this year.

Eye test please, Montembeault is horse****, he's been lucky this year so far, 10 post per game, the defense is playing well in front of him
Montembeault is not a NHL goaltender, not yet at least. He doesnt control rebounds, he always lose sight of the puck, he can't play with the puck with his stick behind the net, his positioning is bad, etc

Monahan is a UFA after this season, but if that trade is meant for this TDL it is completely unrealistic. No team is giving you a player that is better than Monahan plus adding a 1st and 5th. Monahan at 50% is still a cap dump. He cost Calgary a 1st to move and will cost Montreal assets to move as well. You're stuck with him.

At this year's TDL, that over doesn't get Dubois, at next year's TDL, you would be in the running if the Jets decide to move Dubois.

I think you need glasses then my friend lol, your eye test seems to be failing you. Monty has bailed out the young D numerous times, he has faced 140 shots in 5 games and stopped 128 of them. That is an average of 28 shots faced per game, not saying he is better than Allen or Price, just saying he is better than you are giving him credit for.

uh no. Blues will retool not rebuild Buch would cost a hell of a lot more than those prospects who legit do not help, and with retention for 3 and a half years your crazy.

Parayko would cost more than the other half of this your looking at multiple A prospects moving to the Blues with the picks to get this deal done.

I do not see how that Monahan trade would benefit the Jets at all. I mean is Monahan supposed to be a super expensive rental for Winnipeg, or whats the idea here?
