Murray could be coming back off LTIR as early as this week. Good try though.

As a blues fan I think your offering too much for ROR. But I will gladly take it.

He’s also been in of the statically unluckiest players so far

I'm waiting for the Matt Murray, Kerfoot, Abruzzese, Holl and a 1st for Sorokin and Mayfield trades.

In this scenario Murray gets injured yet again. I’m sorry I don’t have a lot of faith in his durability at this point.

I’m sorry you folks think these are bad trades. But don’t be surprised at what these guys values are. Personally I feel they’re not too far off. Especially in our insane cap world.
OReilly may be having a down year statistically. But that’s on a team who has had an awful start. We’re taking about a guy who will get an insane contract this off-season.
Murphy is a big body RHD who has a reasonable contract and can play big minutes.

I don't think the Hawks would give up Murphy for just Sandin

You have no faith in Murray staying healthy and I have no faith this team gets past the first round on the wings of Samsonov/Kallgren.

TOR fans need to realize that best case scenario is for Murray to get healthy and return to form as 1G

I'm not sure Ryan O'Reilly will get an insane contract this upcoming off season. It of course depends on what constitutes insane...

Hahaha. Man I wouldn’t have faith on the leafs getting out of the first round with Shesterkin in net. Goaltending may be a problem for the leafs, but it hasn’t been THE problem for getting out of the first round.

One of the best two way forwards in the game. I see no reason why he doesn’t get Kadri money and term.

How so? I haven’t much of Blues yet this season. Looks on paper they are struggling to get consistent offense 5v5. Been wondering what the story was.

That is true, I had to see it to believe it but a PDO of .89 is ridiculous. But still, he's a pending FA who's not looked like himself so far. If he doesn't turn it around by the deadline, the return will suffer. Also Knies is off the table, and I think Niemela may be as well.

Calgary already looks dumb for giving Kadri the money. Giving O'Rielly that term and money at his age would be so dumb. Players don't get better in their 30's they almost universally get worse. O'Rielly's best days are behind him. I would add him for sure but only if the price made sense. Since he's definitely not resigning in TO for a pile of money. Making him a pure rental.

All of this is nuts by the way. You have taken a future and I would say current #4 Defenceman in Sandin for a guy who isn't worth his contract in Murphy (he is not a good defensive player, he's just the best of a really really bad bunch). And then trading our 2 best prospects and a 1st in a stacked draft for a guy who can be had for much much less. This is terrible asset management

I mean theoretically the rights to Knies and a 1st for ROR and Niemela for the 50% retained seems pretty fair to me. Don't think it's an underpayment or overpay.

I think it's too much. I rate Knies higher than Neighbors and Niemela a little lower than Bolduc. It's the maple leafs 2 best prospects and a 1st for a rental. Not many rentals go for that price. I expect a similar price to Claude Giroux

Well Giroux had a NMC and completely controlled his own destiny. ROR has no trade protection. Nevertheless, I dont think Niemela is a great pick and Knies the Blues would only get his rights which isn't worth much (think Vesey and Fox went for 2nds or less) since there's no guarantee of signing with them.

Trading Sandin could go bad really fast.

Hes still young and has room for growth. Missing training camp often does this to players and while Liligren has been the exception Sandin has struggled

I feel he will rebound with time and if not probs be used in a Chycrun trade which I dont think is a good idea.

As for Toronto getting O'Rielly man I would be very surprised as while hes not been doing great this year he still wont come cheap and Dubas often does not like spending big for rentals. He did it once but Seattle was the main reason
