I tend to not have much interest in the Avs trading prospects and high picks for rentals at this point. I would think they could get someone like Toews (whom I know is polarizing) for a lot less than this but I know there's an argument to be made for ROR.

An nhl ready sniper, a d prospect who has a lot of potential/skill and a 2nd that becomes a 1st if RoR isn't dog sh*t and the Avs make it the scf or w.e. If a team does beat this, cool. I doubt it tho

I dont know if Toews value is less that ROR at this point in time. 7 goals, 3 assists in 13 games and a +1 is not bad compared to 2 goals in 12 games at a -12. Toews is also averaging like 18 min a game compared to ROR's 16 min in the last few games

Not gonna lie RoR hasn’t really done much this season to justify a team outbidding by much more then this offer. Like yes we know the player he can be but until that is seen he is just currently a forward with 2 goals 0 assists in 12 games and considering he’s supposed to be a defensive god it looks bad when he is on the ice way more when they are getting scored on then majority of the team.

Olausson has played a little over a month of professional hockey in North America. 3 goals, 15 games.

You're likely looking at a first plus one of Behrens/Olausson as a starting point which is probably too much for the Avs to pay for a rental at this time regardless of whether the value is right or not. If you do the trade then I suspect the Blues would actually gamble on the 24 or 25 1st, assuming the addition of ROR takes the Avs deep at the very least this year as one or both of those are then likely to be higher picks regardless of the depth of the 23 draft. A threepeat would be very unlikely.
