I don’t have an issue with that from isles perspective tbh. I would try and c if I can find a similar play in FA or on waivers first tho lol.

30 goals from 6'3" winger = 30 goals from 5'7' winger

Does it matter at this point how tall he is?

i love caufield as a goal scorer but being undersized greatly debilitates every other aspect of his game. i think he'll score 45 this season and thats why i paid him 9 mil but still not a fan of his height. imo its a problem if im taller than the player in question

Maybe later in his career it becomes an issue. He could adapt, like Cam Atkinson, and evolve into more of a two-way player.

I also think in 10 years, the NHL will be a lot more forgiving on size. Speed will rule the roost.

I think u could get a lot more for Monty at the tdl. A goalie who has played as well as he has(ik, it's unsustainable) for that low a cap hit? I'd think he'd get u a fourth and a 7th.

That bottom line can all play center, would u rotate them on the faceoffs? I also wouldn't think EDM would give their 2023 out, it'd probably be later. Also, I'd find it hard for Cole to argue for more than Suzuki, especially at their respective point paces right now. Not to mention the whole captain and special team utalization bits.

would be a fair assessment if it was based on how he has played. He has made solid strides both with his forecheck and with his defense, he reads plays extreme well which is a skill that actually matters unlike height, and hes been causing turnovers on the forecheck that have led directly to goals, one of which was on Myers which is who is as tall as they came, and also a pretty useless dman but thats a whole other discussion.

He might get you a 5th. But that's about it.

It's to the wrong team though. Wild don't need him. The goaltending numbers here are pretty heavily skewed by the first 3 games when everyone sucked. They've been very good since then.

Minnesota has a lot of issues right now. But goaltending isn't one of them.
