I wouldn’t trade Carlo I think it’s a bit too much. The RHD would be too weak. Maybe replace him with a prospect. Love the idea of horvat though

Bruins decline we need Carlo more then horvat. Not to mention we also need prospects.

If we move Carlo it should be for a C that’s u25 that can be our future top line C like a Dubois

Yeah I doubt the Bruins consider this. But if they were to offer it for whatever reason the Canucks would accept

I’d rather have Horvat than Dubois.

If Van adds Schenn i’d consider this. Carlo is one hit away from retirement.

Not sure i’d do it, but certainly make me think.

I’d trade Smith and move Coyle to RW3 though.

The biggest issue is no way they can re-sign Pasta/Bo/Zacha/Sway/Freddy/Clifton. And then there is 37/46

Carlo/Zacha for Bo/Schenn? B’s keep their 1st? Be tempting.

This is hot garbage.
First off it’s a major overpay for a rental.
It’s taking away from a position of need, and adding a player at a position on he bruins have no use for.

Bad value
Bad fit
Bad concept
Bad trade

Congratulations on being the only person who thinks the Bruins don’t need a C.

I second what he said. BOS doesn't need a C. That's like their least position of need right now.

Now if either Bergy or Krech gets injured long-term before the TDL, then that changes. Let's hope that's not the case though. But even then, they have Zacha who can easily slide up there.

There’s no guarantee either returns next year and we have nothing behind them. Zacha isn’t even close to Horvat. The odds of Krejci and Bergy returning are slim.

"The future C-Need":
Then address it at the TDL or Draft or UFA/RFA - save some 'powder' for mid- or end-of-season...
Centreman UFAs = ROR, J. Staal, Pav's, Larkin, Horvat...,

Just curious. How many years left of being top 6 C do you see in Bergeron and Kreijci? They are doing quite well for their age right now but how long is that expected to last?

Uh, no. Everyone with a brain understands that.
Bergeron
Krejci
Coyle
Nosek

Foligno, Zacha, and Frederic are also traditionally centers.

So where does he fit, smart guy?

So your solution for center next season is going after a guy that also isn’t guaranteed to return next year? Utterly brilliant.

Also, listen to Bergeron’s interview with Elliotte Friedman. Doesn’t sound like a guy that’s done after this year.

Um. Okay. You asked a question regarding the future of the bruins centers. Bo Horvat shouldn’t even enter that conversation because he is a pending UFA. Get it? The bruins will need centers in the future. Bo Horvat is not a future asset. He’s a rental.

Lol, literally and what part of my comment did I insinuate Horvat to Boston? Never. No need to be so condescending. I am genuinely curious to what the outlook of Boston's near future

My guess is that both play next year and are done after that.

If that's the case BOS can just sign Horvat in FA and save all the assets.
