barrie doesnt bring anything of value to that trade, and the going rate on evans is probably a 3rd maybe a 2nd at the deadline if a team was looking for a bottom 6 center that can kill penalty for a playoff run.

We've seen what a bridge contract can do on the nurse contract.

It would be quite difficult to get skinner for less given what demko, Driedger, and carter hart got for contracts.

i think nico sturm is the contract comparable to mcleod and they shafted him on his last contract so they owe him 100k extra.

I think montreal would take a 3rd and Barrie in the 22-23 offseason. This would be for the powerplay QB.

Nurse was playing 1st pair when he was 22, Bouchard isn't a comparable player at all.

Skinner isn't going to be red hot all season and Edmonton already has Campbell signed to starter money. I don't think those guys are necessarily great comps.

We'll see with McLeod, but he's not bringing a lot offensively. He's currently on pace for 26 points and that's not worth $2.4M IMO.
