Taking an enormous step forward

Created by: TheRealisticGuy

Description
I gave O'Reilly the same contract Nazem Kadri got but I highly doubt he signs for that much

This is for fun, MTL won't do that IMO

For goaltending, Primeau isnt waivers exempt anymore so I don't know what's going to happen if Montembeault keeps playing well

At first glance i wanted to say that i didnt like handing out too long term contracts in free agency just yet, but in looking at the future cap space those are two deals the habs can live with for sure, Goaltending will be the biggest question mark after that but i like the look of that team, especially if its an Allen-Primeau tandem.

Hoffman and Edmundson deal expire soon as well, MTL have planty of cap space
ROR is a good player despite not producing that much this year
If MTL don't pick in the top 10, I would sign him
Dvorak doesnt hurt on a 3rd line so MTL C depth would be pretty solid the next 2 years, giving time to Owen Beck

Ya exactly it sets up some time for the younger prospect to arrive and find their place on the team.

I agree Severson not a #1 RHD but he would only be in that slot for a year maybe two, Between Barron and Mailloux (assuming he gets cleared to play in NHL) there will be options. Besides the #1 RHD is just whoever gets paired with Ghule for the future by the looks of things, and either way the d-core as a whole has potential.

Oreilly is on the wrong side of 30 for that adventure, this squad will be on the top of some 27/29 year old ufas lists that probably fit the window a little better than that. Quite a squad coming, kind of too bad they are messing with there 23 draft spot with this winning lol
