I don't think the Devils will trade the #1 pick, it is very rare. Clayton Keller appears to be a great prospect for the Coyotes so I don't think they will trade him and the #7 for the #1 pick. I think that would be them giving up too much for the #1. I also think the trade with the Islanders is way too lopsided in favor for the Devils. Towes is one of the Islanders best prospects, the Devils would have to give up a lot more than an aging Ilya Kovalchuk and a second. I think Kovalchuk for De Haan is a more appropriate deal. I like the deal with Tampa but I would like more than a second round pick, I would want a prospect. I have seen the Dalton Prout trade with the Blue Jackets on a few different Arm Chair GM examples, the Devils acquired Prout from the Blue Jackets, why would they trade him back to them?

If you make that trade, it probably has to include Zacha or another prospect and remove the 2018 2nd

I think that deal is close to move from #7 to #1 in this draft.

Though I agree with phillyjabroni that to make it more palatable another player (like Zacha) or make the pick 2017 #2 or the 2018 #1.

Yeah it would have to be McLeod/#1 for Keller/#7 .. I was about to post somebody's idea of Schenn/#2 for Keller/#7
