This would be an off-season move. So yes, find out and then trade if necessary. They said, this team is going nowhere without another top 4 dman, and we are screwed if Zub walks.

It could be a Matthew Tkachuk scenario. OTT has done a good job locking up American players so it wouldn't surprise me if they did the same with Debrincat.
