Depends on how well Kuzmenko plays the rest of the season. He has 7 goals and 11 points in 15 games. A 40 goal pace. Might not be sustainable but if he is producing at a 30 goal, 60 point pace by the deadline, he could potentially fetch a first round pick at least with his cheap cheap cap hit

Due the Sens bad start and really no shot at the playoffs, , should the Sens be trading futures for upcoming UFAs?

I like carlo, but I would not trade Pinto or Batherson away for him, they are both too valuable to the sens right now.

Side Note: I don't think Batherson has played as a center throughout his whole pro career, maybe he played it in junior, but since he went pro, he's been playing right wing all the time, so doubt he would be efficient there, although I could be wrong

Good point you raise there, but the only futures I wouldn't trade are Sanderson, Greig, Pinto (and the obvious players like stutzle tkachuk, norris, chabot, batherson) and this year's 1st round pick, other than that, the rest of the picks won't help the team now and the prospects that the team has in the organization (other than Greig) are gonna find it hard to break through this lineup, so why not trade them for assets that could help the team this year and may keep for next year as well.

Would Thomson work instead, both him and JBD have the same potential

I think the Canucks ask for JBD as a starting point, or at least 2023 picks. Thomson may work as well (not too familiar with their styles of plays, but ideally Canucks take whoever is better defensively)

It's too early to judge kuzmenkos value. If he gets moved it will be close to the deadline and value could be anywhere from a first + to a 5th round pick. Just not enough time to get a semi accurate price.

Schenn IMO would be valued at a 2nd - 3rd round pick. He has been really damn good though so far this year. If he keeps it up he will be highly sought after at the deadline for his leadership and physicality.

True, this package gets you Scheen alone probably, Kuzmenko is likely to play himself into a much higher value.
