In his defense, this one is a really terrible trade for the Blues.

Anything overtly ludicrous, yes. Why, do you actually imagine the Blues will trade Buch? Let alone for a weak offer? This is a no-brainer, dude.

I'm not saying this is a fair deal, but your response to everything is that it's not enough. You want a top top prospect and 2 firsts for ROR no matter how bad he's playing

1- Then what exactly is the point of your comment? I call **** trades ****. And that is a hopping business around here, to say the least.

2 - Where do you imagine I said anything even remotely resembling this?

A first round pick and top 10-15 d prospect (not to mention RHD) is a weak offer lmao. Maybe it's not exactly enough but calling it a weak offer is a joke, you should make your own ACGMs instead of just ripping other peoples, this isn't far off

How do we not have the assets? I could add two more firsts, Robertson and Knies if I wanted to. Stupid comment

A late 1st and a microscopic Dman who is in no way a top 10-15 D prospect (bruh... c'mon) plus a cap dump for Buch is a weak ass offer, yes. Duh. Is this some sort of shock to you?

Buch is a point per game guy with 3 years of term at a more than reasonable 5.8 Mil cap hit, he's going to get more than that should St. Louis look to trade him. It's a weak offer for what St. Louis would actually consider/accept.

I haven't seen you do anything but say no to every offer. Even other St Louis fans say you're asking too much.

1 - You're either having selective memory or you're just not seeing everything. Just yesterday, I said an offer (I think it was for Barbashev) was in the neighborhood. Either way, look at the selection of trade offerings I'm dealing with. The overwhelming majority of trades on here are either made with no regard to the other team's cap, made with no regard to the other team's needs, made with no regards to the other team's competitive status or just downright delusional in value.

2 - Now you're just lying through your teeth. Not only have I never once posted an ask for Buch (or Tarasenko or ROR or Parayko or or or... ), but no Blues fans have said any such thing to me.

Typical response, guy wants astronomical returns and when everyone says that guys is out of his mind, everyone else is lying. Fake news right?

What are you babbling about now? For the THIRD time now, feel free to show everyone ONE astronomical return I asked for. Or ONE time "Blues fans" or "everyone" said I was out of my mind for a trade ask.

ONE.

I dare you.

-Holl is probably equal to Schenn in terms of talent/production. Why are you giving up a 3rd at the deadline to save a few bucks here? At the deadline, the difference in AAV between Holl & Schenn would only save you about $400K against the cap; there are cheaper ways to get that cap hit covered than a 3rd round pick.

-St. Louis easily rejects. Buchnevich has basically been a PPG player the past two seasons and is extremely affordable at $5.8M through 2024-25. I'm guessing the ask would *start* with a 2023 1st and Matt Knies, and Toronto would still add from there.

-Kinda feel like the Caps would jump on this, and probably offer you retention to boot. The injury history is enough to make me want to pass on this deal if I'm the Leafs, though.

Niemela is the 10th ranked D prospect by DailyFaceoff, 26th skater prospect by TheHockeyWriters, 7th ranked D prospect on TSN (I'm aware he's not this good), etc.

Engvall isn't a cap dump, since when is 15 goals for 2M a cap dump lol

Enjoy missing the playoffs

Schenn is more physical than Holl and Dubas has mentioned a few times he wants a more physical guy on the backend, cap saving might be crucial

Buch has only had one ppg season and his on ice shooting % was nearly 15%, we're seeing the regression already, he's a top 6 winger, not some elite star
