Huge Leaf Trades to win now in the playoffs

Description
I am still pretty new at making Armchair GMs I appreciate feedback so I can better the realism for future Armchair GMs! This one started with the intention to be realistic then went kinda whacky on ALL OUT for WIN NOW!! The first 3 trades were trying to stick to extremely realistic on what I think could happen and I would appreciate feedback! Beyond that while I still appreciate feedback it got more... I want this guy who's probably available what would it take, I want that guy what would it take etc

Conditional draft picks based on a player re-signing are no longer allowed in the NHL under the new CBA MOU.

JT Miller seems like the exact opposite of what this team needs.....

1. Don’t need Lemieux at all
2. Amirov won’t be moved no matter what, as much as I would love Tanev in Toronto
3. Don’t want Miller at all with that contract plus recent play, and that’s a ton to give up anyways

There's no way in hell that the Leafs have the cap space for all 4 of these players, You only have a 20 man roster and you're still nearly $200,000 over the salary cap. Once Millers $8,000,000 kicks in next year can kiss goodbye any chance of resigning Nylander.

Calgary declines. We need longer term cheaper top 6 fowards. Not a bunch of rentals/okay prospects

These players haven't provided "playoff success" recently to there teams. I just don't understand the logic thinking they are such different makers.
Now I admit Toews, Miller, Tanev, Lemieux are better than the group traded away. Kerfoot, Holl, Robertson and Murray. But give up two firsts, a second, and two thirds....seems really excessive.
Plus as suggested above...not cap compliant.

I can't swallow the concept of moving Toews from center to the wing. Why take one of the best two way centers in the league over the last 20 years and still pretty strong two way center and at the dot and move him to the wing?

If you wanted to create a incredible 3rd line and make Toews the 3c or have the flexibility of moving the JTs back and forth between 2C and 3C based on playing streaks and chemistry by all means, but acquiring toews for a winger job would be a waste IMO.

Either Huberdeau is playing well and Calgary doesn't want to trade him or Huberdeau is playing poorly and no one will want his contract.

There's no situation where a Huberdeau trade will happen.

I think the only realistic and helpful move is the Toews trade, playing him as the 3C makes more sense as ChiHawk mentioned. I would also add that Toews often didn't need gifted players on his line so, I think he could do something there with two of Engvall, Jarnkrok, Robertson, Malgin, and potentially Knies.

So it would be Kerfoot out and Toews in.

I was going to finish making the Armchair GM but needed to leave for work so I decided to post it as it was. I was going to make 1 last small move to make them cap compliant. Due to the amount of feedback though I have decided I will leave it as is, review the feedback and make a 2.0 version of this. Some things remaining the same/really similar while changing others.... (Not sure entirely yet). As I said above though I appreciate the feedback and use it to improve my knowledge of future Armchair GMs!
