Top3 teams in goals for in both conferences

East
1. Boston 85 in 21 games
2. New Jersey 82 in 22
3. Pittsburgh 77 in 20

West
1. Dallas 84 in 22
2. Vegas 80 in 23
3. Vancouver 75 in 21

It just goes to show how much Bowness style hindered Dallas compared to anything we had before. And btw before Bowness was hired, our coach was Montgomery, who now is coaching the Bruins, which are also topping their conference.

To further labor the point, currently Jets sits at 56 goals in 19 games under Bowness.

I think Bowness philosophy could be responsible for Seguin's and Benn's "downfall" which at least with the latter has came to a halt. And thank god for that. Jamie Benn being tied in points with the likes of Kaprizov, Matthews, Hintz and Pavelski is something truly worth noting - probably the biggest individual change in our team from last year.

I think eventually, the NHL will force the hand of the CHL and allow 1st rounders ( or maybe like top 15 picks ) to play in the AHL whenever the club wants to instead of needing to wait

I hope so, The players development should be first priority IMO, I understand why they do it but still.

me, imo it's by far the best pizza chain in Canada

Is Boston Pizza even a Pizza chain anymore? To me it's more of a restaurant now. Their Pizza isn't even the main part of their menu

Canucks this season:
Elite offense
Elite PP
Awful defense
Awful PK
Starting goalie playing like a backup
Backup goalie playing like a starter

If Demko starts today and the Canucks lose, is Martin your starter now ?

U got to think yes as if we look through history

When Campbell outplayed Freddie he took the starter job

When Husso outplayed Binnington he took the starter job

And when Skinner outplayed Campbell he has taken the starting job

It's genuinely crazy to think how Voodoo goalies in the NHL are.

Montembeault outplaying Allen
Martin outplaying Demko
Knight outplaying Bobrovsky
Skinner outplaying Campbell
Thompson outplaying Hill
Korpisalo outplaying Merzlikins
Reimer outplaying Kahkonen
Vladar outplaying Markstrom
Raanta outplaying Andersen

It's a rough year to be a starting goalie

This is why early season point projections are goofy. To think a team with this much offense is likely going to be picking top 10 in this years draft

Edit: Quinn Hughes score a goal challenge: impossible

Surprised the Canucks aren’t in the top left corner. All offense, 0 defense

They're WAY outscoring their expected goals, though.

Certified Canucks moment. Isn’t expected to score much, scores a lot, but still manages to lose

I cant see how that bottom 5 in xG will not be the bottom 5 at the end of the year

VAN and MTL can try their best, but they will have a hard time getting Bedard

You’re right. Boudreau has been favoring Martin over Demko which is killing our tank. We need to start Demko if we want to lose

Bowness was brought in only as a short-term option but he’s improved the Jets defence by a lot just hasn’t translated to not blowing leads in 5 minutes but still

He’ll never reach that, he can’t play a full season in the AHL, he’s on a “conditioning stint”

Still wondering why Buffalo was mentioned in Chycrun talks

To me Chycrun should be the target of a team needing a top 4 LD. Buffalo has 2 #1OA LD and Samuelsson

If im Buffalo I would be looking for a forward with experience.

Can't believe Canucks fans actually wanted to trade Pettersson at the beginning of last season....

Fabbro is just a slight upgrade defensively

Plus hes younger. If they trade Joki they should go for a for someone who is a sure upgrade rather than a very minimal one. Plus how much is he benefiting from Ekholm, Josi, and McDonagh as I feel those guys help his stats a bit
