Snake-bitten Huberdeau just misses on breakaway...
BUT
Stays with it & wins a 4-on-1 battle (w/ a bunch of FLA pylons really), and
Flames salt it away 5-2.

He's back on a 44 goal pace for the season. I think that'd give him 826. It'd be insane if he got there next season. Probably gonna be midway through the 2024-25 season. He could actually hit 1,000 if he wants to keep grinding after he breaks the record.

It's crazy. I looked at the score when it was 7-5 and thought it was almost over. There were still 10 mins left in the 2nd period.

Crazy to think how he could easily be near Gretzky if the 2004-05 and 2012-13 lockouts hadn't happened

They both need D and goaltending help, we’ve clearly seen they can score but defence and goaltending must’ve been non-existent for a game to end up 9-8 (OT)
