DAL have their starter goalie, so don't know why they would be interested in that?

Why would the Kings do this trade? There is no benefit for them taking on those scraps and giving up two good forwards

I doubt Erik Johnson would waive for Vancouver, but sure I guess I’d accept that if I’m Colorado. Not sure why Vancouver would do it though.

Hawks aren't buying at this season. You can have AA for a third though.

EJ has a no movement so he blocks that trade. COL had Dries on their team and let him walk for free and COL has need for a fringe prospect. This is a very easy no for COL considering EJ is by far the best player in the trade.

Why would COL do that? They let Dries walk for free, EJ imo is better than Schenn and Bains is a guy.

Because according to Vancouver fans Schenn has seemingly morphed himself into Bobby Orr

Mikheyev: 28 years old, under team control for three more seasons, 4-4=8 points
Pearson: 30 years old, under team control for one more season, 1-4=5 points
Vilardi: 23 years old, under team control for at least 5 more seasons, 10-5=15 points

Los Angeles wouldn't make that trade if you took out one of the two players plus the third and added your 2023 first-rounder

The Kings are VERY happy with their current forward corps -- so happy, I don't think that we'd be in the market for Boeser or Miller. Maybe Podkolzin, but our primary need right now is at LhD.

Cap savings to make a bigger move, Dries could be a call up (been there before, ugh), and maybe they like Bains? Idk.

It’s not a splashy move for Colorado so I don’t really care either way. But for Vancouver it doesn’t make any sense.

From an off ice perspective, Erik Johnson is not getting traded so this whole thing is moot. He’s a huge piece of the locker room and has trade protection.

EJ is a locker room leader, moving him for cap space particularly when they are playing Andreas Englund on d would not be well received in the locker room. But yeah EJ blocks so it’s moot.
