No, they don't. You don't have to be a Wild fan or an NHL GM in order to see it. Just have to use common sense and logic.
Guerin doesn't do this, and I don't think he considers it much either.
1) Faber was/is Minnesota's primary piece of return for the Fiala trade and the primary reason Fiala got packed off to LA and not somewhere else for a better return.
In short, Fiala got traded to LA specifically so they could get Faber.
2) Faber is good enough that he's likely the Wild's future 1RD, replacing Spurgeon in the next few years.
Krebs is nice, but he's looking more and more like a potential 2C every day that goes by. Minnesota already has that in Rossi who is every bit as good.
3) While Minnesota's defensive prospect pool is stacked, Faber and Addison are the only two RHD of note within it.
The Wild aren't moving their best RHD prospect for Peyton Krebs. Maybe we consider moving Addison, but Faber isn't available.
