I mean okay return for Stolie but I think we’d rather a 3rd instead of AHL depth

Meh, Steeves is fine. Probably fills some of our depth issues while the abundance of picks that we *should* have post TDL brew in JR, or alternatively, get packaged to improve the team.

For Duhaime, that's probably right on the money value-wise, but I get the impression that MN likes him a lot and it would take an overpay. He's big, speedy, throws his weight around and isn't shy to drop the gloves. Basically a poster boy of what Guerin likes.

I'd do a 3rd, but I needed to clear contract space

Because the offer is really bad. Voit is of zero interest. Kerfoot is a UFA, and thanks to the max retention you want, the Blues will have to pay him Tarasenko money this season. So not only have you not paid for the retention, the Blues actually are paying you to give it. For some reason. A late 1st is the only piece of any interest, and that ain't enough to get you Tarasenko without retention. Any other interested team would easily demolish that offer.
