And you're adding around $17,000,000 combined between Horvat and Karlsson. For the way the Blue Jackets are playing that would be crazy.

As for the Horvat trade... I'd be surprised if Vancouver goes for that, and that's a heck of a risk to take without knowing what he'd want to extend for. (If the AAV starts with a number higher than 6, it's not worth it to us to pursue him.)

I agree with retention there isn’t enough there but SJ is getting a ton of cap relief and is getting out of a bad contract
