Can't see Girard being the defenseman that LA goes after. I like him, but the Kings need a BIG LD, not just a LD. Girard doesn't fit that.

That Killorn deal is awful. He has a lot of mileage on him. Hard pass!

If the Kings look to upgrade LD they will more likely trade a RD (where they have the most depth). One of Walker, Grans, or Durzi could be on the block, but that chance keeps going down the better Durzi looks on the left side, not to mention their overall two-way game is improving.

Roy is gone, Holden doesn't have a place with the Avs anymore. Isn't Turcotte a total wild card if he can make it through a season, let alone make the nhl?

I don't know why everyone thinks Turcotte is injury prone. He suffered two unrelated concussions last season, the second of which was a cheap shot to the head that would have knocked anyone out of the lineup. Most of his time missed has been with untimely illnesses (mono and appendicitis), the aforementioned concussions, and an ankle injury that caused him to miss a month or so back in college.

Sorry, I should have mentioned I knew it was head injuries. Im not saying the injuries he's taken, someone else would have been ok. Its just the outcome hes in and the ease of further head injuries. I don't think the Avs move Girard for that big of a question mark. This year will be big for him and last I checked, he has only played 3 ahl games.

You know who else had multiple concussions and was out for an extended period of time? Sidney Crosby. He turned out ok.

Turcotte is 21 years old and has looked very good in the AHL during the extended stretches when he was healthy. I'm not worried about him yet. I'm certainly not ready to give up on him and sell low. There's still 2 years left until there's waivers to worry about.

It's a different story when he is your teams' prospect. I wouldnt advocate moving him this season either. If he is healthy his value will only go up. From an outside prospective, he is a risk still.
