why do the leafs want demko he is not performing well especially not giving up a top Right D prospect a first a 2nd and a goalie who could outperform him and we lose cap space.

The OEL buyout is disgusting. You're better off just playing out the rest of his deal and hoping he bounces back

Unless Campbell comes out of retirement, I doubt Myers would do well in Buffalo

Leafs don't have what it takes to get Horvat, They'd be so easily outbid it's not funny.

If a Horvat extension is part of that deal, Detroit probably takes it.

With that said, I don't want the Wings to be buyers at all. I'd rather Detroit stays the course of drafting and developing internally for at least 1 more season, with shrewd FA signings where they make sense.

Unless you plan on giving up one of Knies or Niemela and other pieces you don't want to surrender, it's doubtful it would happen.

Leafs don’t need Demko or Horvat at these prices; Canuckle fans are the most delusional on CF 😅

You're competing against Colorado giving up Newhook and a 1st for Horvat you're not beating that offer.

There's rumblings that Yzerman might give up Kasper+Wallinder+ One of Berggren/Zadina and a 1st You're not beating that.

Columbus could easily outbid Toronto same with Buffalo.

colorado might not spend big on horvat since he'd be a rental and they'd be without a cost controlled middle six C if newhook is gone.

detroit, columbus and buffalo would be stupid to go after horvat since neither are playoff teams and if they squeak in they're out in 5-6 games.

If Sakic dealt Newhook for Bo Horvat he wouldn't be a rental but signed long term.

Buffalo, Columbus and Detroit are a lot closer to playoff contention by adding Horvat then not.

with what cap space is sakic signing horvat with lmao

also technically true that those three teams would be closer to playoff contention, but two of them are currently in the basement. so i guess instead of missing the playoffs by 20 points they miss them by 2 points. good optics.

As opposed to getting knocked out in 7? Boom roasted. Sorry, I had to, low hanging fruit.

Totally agree. But I look at the negative value he is providing to the team night in and night out. I would rather that he not be in the lineup at all - unless it guarantees a bottom 3 finish and one of Bedard, Fantilli or Michkov.

I don't wish ill on a player, however wouldn't object to him developing an allergy to his hockey equipment that is so debilitating that he has to go on LTIR. Never seen anything like that in the NHL before, right?

Why Myers is worth so much and why need retention? We have a ton of cap space.

Blocked and reported 😂

Avs can’t afford to give up cost controlled pieces for a player they can’t re-sign.

@HockeyIsMyPassion61 - Avs decline this trade that you just made up lmao
