Possibly. The risk is in taking on JTs contract. The cap space fits a reset and Pitt is all in. The pick is nice (in this case it helped move in from OEL) but could be an asset for the future.

One day I figured I'd finally get your attention in Jets town.

There you go. Garland would be nice for the Jets, but it has to be a futures based deal as you have here, imo. I can't see the Jets moving anything from their lineup at this point.

That Kings trade looks pretty bad for the Canucks cap wise and giving up a 1st for cap dump

You're right about that! But OEL is an anchor. Takes a lot to move it.

Maybe Buffalo does that- i repeat MAYBE- if:
We substitute a different prospect instead of Savoie
And Horvat comes with an extension

Otherwise, i don’t think we’d even consider it

Need Savoie for two aces! Is it the timeline and that Buffalo has had a lot of success with draft picks lately or do you legit think value isn't there?

The value is reasonable
But i don’t see us trading a guy we just picked in the top10 to “speed up the process”
We made the mistake of trying to build too fast when we got Eichel- and management has made it pretty clear they won’t make the same mistakes again

So maybe a different prospect(s) & a pick(s) might work for both sides?
But idk that the Sabres would be interested in a trade like this right now anyways- even though they probably should be

I really like Mittelstadt as his production is about what could be expected.
Savoie is a prospect, Comrie is performing poorly.
If the Sabres could get their defense back together and Demko could regain his MoJO Buffalo would be a very dangerous team with Horvat and Thompson at center.
Buffalo should be given permission to talk with Bo's agent before the trade to work out a contract first.
Bo and Tage for next 7 years is a dream
