    TO isn't trading a 3rd for Schenn. Vancouver likely won't trade him unless Schenn wants or approves a move which means the return is likely very small. On the last playoff team he was on, he was the 7/8 defenceman. That's what he is in TO as well. Rotating in from time to time of someone struggles for a game or two. He's just too slow to work well in the Keefe system.

    no he wont be the 7/8 defenceman on the leafs. The fact that you compared Tampa Bays Defence to the Leafs Defence is hysterical

    they don't suck they just don't have the depth that tampa did
    also having problems staying healthy and looks like muzzin is gonna be out for the season

    Even if the Leafs defence isn't as deep as Tampa was. Schenn is still a 7/8 defenceman on the Leafs. Brodie, Liljegren and Holl are all better than Schenn. Holl would be your best RD without question and if we are lucky, we'll get an actual improvement and make Holl our 7th defenceman
