Why CGY have to trade with MTL

Created by: LIRIK
Team: 2022-23 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 19, 2022
Published: Nov. 19, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Calgary can't trade any of their three 2024/2025 1st, they're all under condition in the Monahan trade. If they want to move another one of those 1st, it would have to be with MTL.

CGY could trade their 2024 1st to MTL. The 1st on the Monahan trade would lose the 2024 option, leaving only the 2025 CGY or FLO 1st option with the protections already included.

The trade is for Anderson, but it could be any other Habs player CGY would be interested in. MTL would have to take some salary back, not sure who it would be.

Or they could target another player from another team and trade their 2023 1st, but i think teams will want to hold onto those because 2023 is a deep draft.

I'll note your name because i'm tired of trolls like you who don't know anything about players value or even hockey at all.

You all comment on hockey trades on "hockey site about fake hockey teams", but when you're proven wrong after they're traded, you're all nowhere to be seen.

But i guess that's what the world has become. A real men would admit when he was wrong. What you're doing, never assuming, is what i would call insecurity.

Oh boy. A lot to unpack there, tired of trolls, are you 12??

I have been wrong here, still here.. interesting eh? Almost like some guy who considers his peak being right on the internet won’t make anyone tuck tail.

Hahahah a real man. You trying to talk about being a real man on the internet is all anyone needs to know about your beta tendencies. Give them a tug, quit crying on here and give your head a shake.

Those graphs only shows offensive and defensive, doesn't show other qualities Anderson has, like physicality and grit. Hockey isn't about points only.

Mangiapane and Coleman have 0 grit. Darryl Sutter or Huberdeau would take Anderson over them any day of the week.

Anderson have one 27 goals season and 3 "on pace for" 25 goals seasons.

Lmfao you actually have no clue what your talking about of you think Mange and Coleman have zero grit. That is theor entire playstyle.

If all you can sell me is that he's fast, Physical, and hits hard we are already paying Brett Ritchie 750k to do that

I've seen Coleman play in the playoff, if he's your definition of grit, no wonder why Calgary is such a soft team right now.

Ritchie is an AHLer.

"Soft team" tears of joy

Ritchie does the exact same think as Anderson and is about equally effective at 5v5 play. What does that say about Anderson if Ritchie is an AHLer?

You were wrong back then and you're still wrong right now. After how many wrongs will you consider yourself bad at analysing hockey at all?

And why would that be my peak? I'm right about this, and about alot of things in life. That make me a smart man, not a beta.

I think a beta would be someone using insults when they don't have anything good to say. Again, what a real men.

Anderson doesn't play PP or PK, and he always get more hits, more ice time and more points than Ritchie. How is he equally effective at 5v5?

Because neither is particularly strong at 5v5 hockey. They can both skate fast, hit, and try to force turnovers through forechecking but neither is strong defensively.

Since when did Josh Anderson not play on the PP?

Yea, but Anderson gets more hits, hits harder and skate faster.

Pretty sure Anderson never played PP, even when he was in Columbus. He has 0 hockey IQ, but he's good at driving the net and forecheck.

1. He literally has less hits
2. How does he hit harder or skate faster? Ritchie is a very fast skater that just steamrolls people. You are literally just selling your own opinion as "fact."

Anderson has averaged 1:15 on the PP this year, 2:07 last year, and 1:53 in 20/21. In 19/20 with Columbus he averaged 1:44, and in 18/19 he averaged 1:22
