The canucks refuse the trade even if you take Horvat out . Gallagher's contract will cost the habs a boatload to offload.

Where do you think the Canes will fit the just over 5mil you are trying to send them? Besides, Monahan has no value to the Canes, and while I imagine the Canes would love to bring back Eddy, it likely doesn’t cost a 2nd. Habs can just have Bokk for free if they want him.

Devils aren’t the right trading partner. They don’t want to affect their chemistry and they don’t want Hoffman for 2 years even with retention.

None of this makes sense
- Montreal now has 3 goalies (Blackwood, Allen and Monty)
- rather hold onto Gallagher than have to add a pick to him to trade him. He has a lot of goodwill with habs and yes his contract is a boat, it’ll pass easier in Montreal because of all he’s done over the years . Also we don’t need the cap space right now or even over next year or 2. Would rather burn a few other years and see what happens
