Why trade Hughes if you're keeping Petey/Miller/Boeser/Garland/Kuzmenko?

I don't mind Rathbone but with the defensive prospects Detroit has I doubt they'd give a 3rd for him.

I'd trade McIsaac straight up for him.

Agreed with both of these. He's just redundant otherwise and I really see no path to him carving out a roster spot here.

VAN ain’t getting Sillinger and a ‘23 1st. It’s Horvat, not one of the Sedins.

Boqvist/CC, and a protected ‘24 1st. Maybe an add or two.

Demko's a fantastic goalie when he's on, but he isn't our best goalie prospect and 2 1sts better than Jarry. The Penguins block your number.

lmao the Sens adding makes no sense. Sens shouldn’t even do it straight up, let alone add. Myers is just tall Zaitsev on a more expensive contract. the difference in value between the two is closer to being a 2nd the other way.

Neither of Sillinger or the 2023 1st will be given up by Columbus.

CBJ easily declines same for PIT. The pick should be going the other way in the OTT deal considering the cap differences both guys suck and the isles have no need for Hughes whatsoever

-Time. Ran out and saved it and posted lol.
Also value. Peteys value can go up, he has great chemistry with his line and with his contract time is on nicks side to have him increase his value after last year was down.
Miller is near untradable now.
Boesers value has never been lower and we have time to wait him out to recover.
Kuzmenko can resign with nicks Jan 1. Try for 4-5 year term, if he keeps this up a 4-5 mill contract could get a big return for Canucks for a UFA signing.
Once players above him leave, Garland can get top 6 ice time. In a more offensive role his numbers will improve. His D is not good for bottom 6.

Major rumours this is the trade they are talking about. Myers is an NHL defenseman. Quality to be debated.
Zatsiev cleared waivers, and has a bad attitude.
Myers playing 80 games a year and 20 minutes is good. He’s just over paid for what he brings.

Like a lot of armchair minor deals; it’s a placeholder deal. Rathbone could get a 3-5 round pick at the deadline for a playoff run depth.
Could package him and another depth guy with little value.
I moved him to move a contract. Every team has a Rathbone, I agree his value is low.

What I was trying to say is Edvinsson and Wallinder as prospects and Chiarot signed for 4yrs Detroit doesn't have a big need for him. But I do think he could easily get a 3rd or more from a team looking for a young LHD with potential.
