Kravtsov hold no value anymore, and Blais is a 4th liner. A 3rd round pick for 50% retained Monahan is not enough.

No Value?!?! He still has a good Value as a top 10 pick and was drafter by Gorton (now in Mtl). And the guy is 22 yo, let him play with guys like Suzuki, Caufield and Dach and he'll play better than on the 4th line in NY

Well I guess that means LA should Gao all in on Kotkaniemi then, he was drafted top 3 by MB (now in LA) and is also only 22 he must have great value too!!!

NYR would have to dump contracts to get Monahan. The return is not enough. The last thing the Habs need is two other wingers.

I agree that NYR needs help. But I rather they play and try to fix it within. Trading for players you can't afford to resign is a losing strategy.

You have the same view buffalo fans have about Middlestadt. He was drafted 8th so other team must value him like that. Yakapov was drafted 1st overall so you would swap him 1 for 1 for Lafreniere?

You saw the guy play and honestly see no potential what so ever? Or you are just assuming based on the numbers you have on capfriendly? Kravstov need minutes to perform and it is not in NYR with this quantity of wingers and 8min per game that he'll develop.

Yakupov had a huge offensive talent when you looked at him, he just had zero hockey IQ, so he sucked in game situations.

The guy have value yes. Thanks for the over generalization, Kravstov is not KK. KK still has potential, yes, but he has a bad contract in a team that need to perform NOW, thats why he is trashed like that.

There is potential sure but after 4 years of being unable to make even the 3rd line on the Rags and added to that the whining and moaning and threats he made to try to get ice time given to him rather than just going out and earning it, I wouldn't pay more than a 2nd for him.

Yes these players have value but when an Org benches them or buries them in the AHL for years they dont hold the value they may have had when they were drafted or acquired. Being drafted high 4-5 yrs ago in round 1 does not make you an uber prospect for trade purposes. Lots of these types of players as they age need a new start somewhere else. Rarely do they fetch a premium

Middlestadt is a solid 3rd line NHL. those players get 2nd or 3rd rounders in trades. Nobody trades an all star for 3rd line centers.

Kravtsov is a big strong Russian who might go home if he does not get an opportunity. Not the same but Dubas traded Alex Barbonov to SJ for a 7th. He got an opportunity with a new org and earned a contract and a middle six role. i think Kravtsov probably has more upside then Barbonov but recovering the value of the 9th overall pick probably not happening especially of he is not playing.
