This is straight up “Ageism”. C’mon Man!

At least pay the man the same as Malkin’s $6.1mil

Joe Pavelski has already said that he'll only sign with Dallas, Pittsburgh isn't going anywhere other than heading towards a rebuild.

Pittsburgh is more of a contender than Dallas.

Not anymore, they've been pretty much identical offensively the past few seasons.

I'd prefer Pavelski myself, he's more physical, better at faceoffs, better defensively and kills penalties

I don't see him leaving Dallas at all though, so it's a moot point

Like I said, not anymore. Malkin is injury prone and not as reliable at this point in his career; having only played just over 1/2 the regular season games the past 2 seasons

Also, Pavelski was up for the Byng & Selke Awards the past 2 seasons, whereas Malkin wasn't up for any Awards

When healthy Malkin is as good as Pavelski offensively, but Pavelski brings more in terms of Physicality, Faceoff Wins, Defense and Killing Penalties
