It’s abundantly clear we got too aggressive in the off-season. Keep Giroux as a veteran leader but we have a lot of players to shed.

Islanders aren’t paying the price Ottawa paid for DeBrincat PLUS one of our top prospects, especially when he’s underperformed so far this year.

It was already reported that Zaisev won't waive for Vancouver.

I see that the template of a 1st, 3rd, prospect and "cap dump" can be used to acquire just about anyone now.

If they're trading Debrincat, which wouldn't shock me at this point, they have to be going after a high end defenseman

All of this is not "staying with the rebuild", it's rebuilding further more

They need Zub a lot more than futures. They need DeBrincat or to trade him for a RHD, not for futures...

Zaitsev will be bought out

The rest is fine at the deadline if the Sens are clearly out of it

Lodin is a pretty interesting prospect. Chartier is a good AHL player, Belleville need him

I 100% wouldn't do that trade

Myers is slow as molasses, doesn't solve anything

Ottawa isn't adding 1.5 AAV next year for that

Zaitsev is gone to the AHL and will be bought out for 1.67 M$ (spread over 2 years). It's the equivalent of 2 minimum salaries
