Detroit is not in as bad shape as some say. A good deadline could put them in good shape for adding a top centre in off season. With Edvinson, Cossa, Kasper a top-10 pick in 2023, the playoffs may be possible for 2023-24.

    Detroit doesn't consider any of those trades and I don't see why the other teams would as well.

    Detroit should definitely do the canes and flames deal unless they are going for the playoffs this year which I don’t think would be smart

    Right now, he has been playing exceptional, and has been filling in as a RHC really well. Larkin isn’t a RHC if I remember correctly, and since the Canes don’t have anyone else who can fill that role, Necas has a lot of value to the Canes. Besides, the cap wouldn’t work that well, especially if Larkin is asking for 10mil. If that’s the case, the Canes are just better off seeing if they can sign him in free agency. Necas also has the potential to be better than Larkin in the long run, so it doesn’t really make much sense for the Canes.

    That being said, if this was proposed last season, I probably would have taken that.

    Pass on Carolina and Edmonton trades. If matta keeps playing well he will get signed or a 2nd. Keep wallman. Osterle and hagg trade for whatever you can get. Suter will get a 3rd, probably erne as well if he's not resigned.
