Something different

Created by: themostleaf33
Team: 2022-23 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 21, 2022
Published: Nov. 21, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is only if Pittsburgh and Washington are still out of the playoffs come the trade deadline, which is looking more like a possibility with how good the Eastern conference is this year.

Just figured they should both boost their prospect depth as they are both aging teams so these moves could work well for them.
Trades
1.
TOR
  1. Zucker, Jason ($2,750,000 retained)
PIT
  1. Holl, Justin
  2. Robertson, Nicholas
  3. 2023 3rd round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Holl is here to make the cap work he doesn't really hold any value and Pittsburgh could just flip him for a late pick if they want to.
2.
3.
TOR
  1. Eller, Lars ($1,750,000 retained)
  2. Jensen, Nick ($1,250,000 retained)
WSH
  1. Sandin, Rasmus
  2. 2023 1st round pick (TOR)

I get that Sandin hasn't looked that great as of late, but moving him and the 2023 first round pick in one deal for two expiring contracts doesn't make a lot of sense.

Best just to hang onto him and see if he can figure his crap out. I have seen some trades on here involving the 2023 first and Jensen which I'm intrigued about.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate that if this were to happen Kerfoot probably gets a hatty in game 7 of round 1 as the Bruins knock out the Leafs

Pens are 3 points behind Toronto. Maybe the Leafs should be seller's too?

Probably does it all in the 3rd period aswell while Toronto is up 5-3, so Bruins accept that trade

Somehow Kadri, Freddy Andersen, Jack Campbell and Mike Babcock will be blamed for the loss.

That does not rid of Bs of the 3m cap hit which is the entire point of trading Reilly. So pass.

That's because everyone on this site wants to win their trades in a landslide. Literally every defenceman on the block is worth a 1st right now. Every 3rd liner is worth a 1st as well. Unless it's a leaf player, they are all worthless and cost a 2nd to move.

Pens are 2 points behind 2nd in the Metro lol. They have also played 13 of their 19 games on the road. They could easily go through a hot home stand over the next month and be right behind NJ. You never know.
