You think maybe take out one of krebs/johnson and 1 of the 2nds and that would be fine?

You have to overpay to get Foligno back. They should have never moved him to start. Also, Jesper Wallstedt, goalie isnt a huge priority for MIN

Two words.

JESPER WALLSTEDT.

Look him up.

Goaltending is the least of Minnesota's issues and we're definitely not giving up Moose, the heart and soul of the team, for that.

Goaltending is the least of Minnesota's issues ...
It would be nice to get Foligno back.
So let's take Portillo out and add Johnson to the Wild trade.
Hard to place a value on Konecny, that does seem to be a bit much.
Mittelstadt, Casey
Jokiharju, Henri
Krebs, Peyton
2023 2nd round pick (VGK)
Three roster players and second could be enough.
The Flyers may need to add a couple of players to balance the rosters.

Over all you have very good targets.

I actually do know who he is bud. He hasn't played an NHL game yet and has 1 win in 6 starts in AHL this year with a plus 3.00 GAA and below .900 save percentage. Not saying he wont be good but goalies are never a shoe in to be great immediately. Look at Carter Hart and Spencer Knight who both came out hot and have struggled the last year or so. Portillo gives Minny even more depth and pretty much guarantees you have 1 great goalie even a possible 1A/1B like Boston. Fleury is washed. Save your smug comments to yourself next time

Thanks, you just discredited yourself completely by calling Fleury washed.

As Fleury has a .920 save percentage minus the first 3 games of the year, bud. Where the entire TEAM allowed 20 goals in those first 3 games, as the defense was equally as responsible for how bad the stats are and were.

Anyone who has payed attention to Fleury this year knows his stats are misleading and skewed because of those first 3 games, but has otherwise been lights out for Minnesota this year until being sidelined with an upper body injury last week.

Furthermore, no we don't need Portillo. Because, A) Wallstedt has franchise potential, and B) Gustavsson, who's only 24, has shown flashes of and has been decent in games can be a quality 1b/backup in this league provided he gets the necessary gametime and experience.

Again, goaltending is the least of Minnesota's issues right now.

If you want to keep relying on Fleury to be good at 37 soon to be 38 years old, good on you. Wallstedt could be great or he could be awful. Goalies are easily hardest position to judge and take longest to develop.

He doesn't need to be great immediately, you need to have patience and trust the process with prospects. Especially with such consensusly highly rated prospects

And like I said, he doesn't need to be good, because as you clearly understand, Minnesota is in cap hell, so completing for a cup isn't a realistic outcome in the next 3 years at minimum

And while unlikely, trading Moose makes sense, but with a different return
