Kerfoot may be a good player, but if you back yourself in a corner nobody is paying to get you out of cap hell.

WPG need middle 6 production & they get it for relatively cheap?, seems like a no brainer. Kerf is worth a 3rd in a normal market

I agree that dealing out of desperation weakens the return but paying a 5th for Kerfoot and his production should be a no brainer for the jets

Like ChiHawk said, make it a 2023 1st and it's absolutely done. BUT!!!, I think a 2024 1st has a chance of getting it done too. Not sure Abruzzese is the right piece coming back since center isn't really a position of need in CHI's pipeline or NHL roster, but he is definitely in the ballpark value-wise.

No doubt that is good value, but the Jets no longer have the cap space for Kerfoot without sending salary back or to another team. With Ehlers / Appleton / Barron expected to return, I can't see LTIR being used.

What is the biggest need from the Hawks Prospect Wise?

They'd probably deal someone on the left side, as there isn't much depth on the right side since they lost Kovacevic on waivers (tried to sneak him through). They might not do anything too and see if anyone else gets injured in this next run of 17 games in 31 days.

What production he's on pace for 4 goals and 24 points. He gets to play with the top 4 leafs most nights and still does nothing.
