Alright, for the umpteenth time.

(1) The Kings need for an LD is to pair with shutdown RD, Matt Roy, the right player should be an offensive threat who is an upgrade to Sean Durzi. (This is not Edmundson)
(2) After the success of the oft-injured Vilardi, it is unlikely the Kings sell low on an oft-injured top pick.
(3) If the Kings move major assets it won't be for a rental, those pieces would be used to get a major player like Chychrun.

1. Eddy is a good top 4 2-way D man on a great contract, whether you want to admit it or not he would be a great add for the Kings and they could use their RD (Durzi, Walker, Spence) to try to upgrade other positions.
2. Sure they would, just cause one player comes back from injury and plays well doesn't guarantee another will.
3. What rental? Eddy has 2 years on his contract and Drouin is a contract termination not a trade to the Kings

Turcotte was a top 5 pick, they aren’t selling him for a 30 YO defensive defenseman

Yeah cause why would they want to improve their team, right?

There are ways to improve the team without giving up a former top 5 pick. He was only drafted 3 years ago.

Edmundson doesn’t move the needle

Look, you either think that Turcotte is going to pan out into a top-6 forward, or you don't.

If you do, he's worth more than one-season-plus of Edmundson.

If you don't, you don't trade for him.

And rather than give up on him AND add Brendan Lemieux to make him go away, the Kings would be much more inclined to take their time with him.

Edmundson has some of the worst possession numbers in the league, has had regular back injuries, in almost every metric Sean Durzi is a vast upgrade to him, and that is the player we currently have at LD 2 at half the pay.
