What's the value for Roslovic then? Not exactly at its highest point right now

Columbus wants absolutely nothing to ever do with Jeff Cry baby Carter again. That’s what he means.

Jeff Carter put back the CBJ organization a decade when he forced himself out, He will never be coming back here. Jack's worth is probs at around what you have here tho

Columbus traded Voracek and a 1st for Jeff Carter to get a 1c to play with Nash. Carter cried about it, sucked and demanded to be traded so we traded him at the deadline to LA for Jack Johnson and a much later 1st. The first Columbus traded out was Sean Couturier the 1st they got back was Marko Dano.

Carter went on to win a cup in LA that year and another a few years later.

Damn. I don't know if it makes you feel better but he's kind of tanking the Pens bottom 6 right now and has a 3 mil 2 year contract

I’d accept the trade and assign his ass to the ECHL. Make it a 1st, though.

Outside of the Carter issues mentioned - gotta say no to Hornqvist. The last thing this team needs is a slow, expensive, 36 year old with 2 points in 16 games. Kap would provide way better production, and if you just want grit I am sure there are more affordable, better options - or you could just bring up someone like DOC. The rest of the moves look good though. Even Carter centering that 3rd line would still be good. The complaints about his possession numbers and defense are fair - but 3rd line centers making 3mil and scoring 50 points while winning 60% of faceoffs don't grow on trees.

Possibly not all that shocking since his conduct here was so overwhelmingly terrible he received a literal damnatio memoriae treatment by way of the organization offering to replace the nameplate on every #7 sweater with Jack Johnson (who took that number when he came here) for free.

It's fairly unprecedented but was entirely deserved. I make a point of referring to him only as The Former #7 as a result; he doesn't deserve a name.

Way too many trades, way too many good draft picks given up for middle of the road players. Unrealistic.

I mean at least I didn't give up 1sts. Those would be untouchable for me this year. I think giving up 2nds is a good compromise between preparing for the future and adding pieces to win now.
