Sorry you haven't been watching any Leafs games for the past year or so. Kampf is has been excellent in his role. No PP time, 8 points and plus player. You could certainly argue he has been at least as good Monahan. As a Hab fan, would you give up a first for Kampf?

Kampf is a very adequate 4th line centre. The Habs are in no position to be giving up high draft picks of any sort. I explained in a previous post that I think 50% retained Monohan is worth a late 2nd from a contender. Engvall is a mediocre player who’s paid twice that he’s worth, so I thought we’d be doing you a favour taking 2 million more off your books, hence a late 1st in 2024. I purposely didn’t include 2023 because we know this is a deep draft.

Engvall has had slow start I think partly to due missing training camp due to injury. But to think he only worth 1m...c'mon, How about the dogs the Habs have at winger making a lot more than 2.1m Engvall. Drouin, Hoffman, Gallagher, Armia, As I said, I don't think you watch any Leaf games, and you're one (of many) who think only Matthews, Marner and Reilly are good players on the Leafs.

I never once said anything about any of your star players or that other players on the team don’t contribute. I also never said anything about the Habs other than the team is starting a rebuild and we have plenty of bad contracts. Engvall is overpaid. I have no idea why Dubas resigned him in the first place. I would want that 2 million off the books if I were in your shoes.

The Leafs are a top heavy team. That’s not up for debate. The Oilers are in the same position, they have high dollar super stars but their depth is questionable. We haven’t seen a team win the cup with most of their cap space tied up in 5 players.

Engvall did have 15 goals and 20 assists last seaso. Now I admit that might be his NHL high water mark. But he certainly was a good signing

If Price returns next season, the Habs are going to looking like a semi top heavy team. Top five guys making about 37m....and one of those non value Gallagher.,
