I can't see Winnipeg doing that. NHL defenseman are at a real premium right now since they're dropping like flies. Duclair also needs to come back and play a while to show he's completely recovered with no ill effects.

At least give soemthing of value if you want duclair. Cause they’re not trading him for pennies

Stanley is big and physical but that’s about it, I doubt the Jets would miss him too much as his play elsewhere is pretty lacking. We need to make room on defence anyways. I also don’t think Florida does this trade unless we add either a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

As we've seen this year, you can never have too many NHL defenseman. I know it's fashionable now to rag on Stanley, but he plays a more valuable position than Duclair and Duclair is coming back from a serious injury. The Jets have no reason to throw away an NHL defenseman for a maybe. When Duclair comes back and proves he can play, maybe the Jets can talk. Right now they won't rock the boat.

I agree that before any deal is made that he needs to be back playing, but this is a great deal for the jets. True Dmen are dropping like flies and their value has increased, but the jets have Stanley like options available if he's moved, WHat they dont have is a proven scorer to take up those spots with the injuries to EHlers and APples. I make this deal all day if Im the jets, but like i said, I wanna see where Duclair is at physically first

It's the pennies they no longer have to pay him that matters here. THey are in a tough spot with cap space and the value of a guy coming off a bad injury is low

Not really. They’ll be a bidding war cause about 20 teams will take a chance in a cheap 20 goal scorer
