Landeskog isn't that good and too expensive to give up Kempe and mid first rounder. I know you're dumping Gaborik, but you're just spinning your wheels with 7 players needed to signed and 13 m in cap space.
I wouldn't do it. This feels kind of like trading away two future studs and whoever we take in this years draft for a guy who hasn't hit a 30 goal season yet. I know he's only 24 but I feel like it won't benefit the Kings. It also depends on who he and Kopitar would be playing with to complete their line. If there is a good player to fill that spot then I change my mind and I say yes to this.
Thanks for the feedback guys! Just spitballing ideas on giving Kopitar someone to play with. I really like the idea of going after a center and moving Carter to RW with Kopi.

I just did the Gaborik buyout. It would cost 1.3m for 8 years. So if the Kings bought him out, and don't do your trade, the Kings keep Kempe, the first, and have 4m to find a LWer. I like this suggestion better. And if you have cap room for Gaborik this year and buy him next year....then it's six year buyout.
