I don't think Edmonton considers Anderson if Bouchard is what the Habs want

It's a mixed package... they're paiying for anderson and savard and also paying to dump barrie and JP

Everything I have seen, read and heard about Anderson and Devils suggests we do not have any interest.

And at that price, I'm certain that we would be out.

Why would the Oilers pay to dump those guys? Barrie probably has minimal value, JP still has good enough value. Beyond that the Flames trade makes zero sense at all.

I still don't understand how Anderson has any value, his contract looks horrendous and his stats aren't anything special. The only arguments I heard was that he was a power forward which is apparently special and he was really good in Montreal's cup run.

Death, taxes and Habs fans trading Josh Anderson for exorbitant returns to teams without any need for him whatsoever.
SociallyHawkward and Tbrew liked this.

Why aren’t the Habs paying to dump Anderson though? Because he has by far the worst contract there

Because he has value among NHL GMs. If you want to know why that's the case you will have to ask them directly

Fans of 31 other teams: Josh Anderson has very little value
Habs Fans: How about a 1st rounder in a stacked draft+NHLers?
