why would we trade for Reinhart

I wouldn't want to give up all that for Reinhart.
I think SJ would want a little more value back for Reimer.

Because he is very very good at hockey?

3 years of Reinhart was late first and, what was at the time, a b-prospect. 1.5 years of Reinhart ought to be less, no?

Reimer is very good, so I’d be happy dishing more out for him to give us a better tandem

I feel like there would be a premium, since he was pretty widely available with the Sabres, and the Panthers don’t NEED to make this move for their cap. It’s just one of a few avenues. That’s my own speculation though. I can see the other end of it and not wanting to pay the price 🤷🏻‍♂️

He would have been a good target, especially if we had not gotten Palat. But seems less likely now. But if we did acquire him now, there would probably be a dman going back.
