idk, im starting to think Gibson is a bit overrated. The last time he was seriously good was in 2019.
I think paying that much for him would be a serious mistake on the part of the sabres.

You should probably turn the Sabres game on. I doubt they'd be interested in any of this

we have no reason to even think about a Gibson trade if there is no 2023 1st

Between Luukkonen, Levi and Portillo. The future is bright in the Sabres crease.

I was at the Sabres game Saturday and it was hard to fault UPL at all.

Gibson isn't good and hasn't been for like 4 years now.

Not giving up anything of value for him

Well, well, well! There could hardly be two different POV's.
      I absolute agree with @Wqrrior, and @sabres89.
As @ItWasIn indicated the Sabres GK are four deep after taking Topias Leinonen in the second round in the 2022 draft.
Granato made it very clear at the post game press conference that Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen was not the problem against the Leafs.
He played extremely well today against the Blues and stopped their winning streak at 7.

Gibson has had a few down seasons in a row now,
and it’s hard to see the Sabres trading for him unless he has a major bounce back
Since his numbers this season are the worst of his career,
      i don’t see it happening

Plus, UPL looks to finally be ready for us
And if he’s what we think he’ll be, then we won’t need a guy like Gibson
If it was for a goalie who still had his “A” game, then maybe
      Maybe

But the way things look now,
I’m pretty sure the Sabres would pass on the Gibson trade

Gibson has been below average the past three years, and has been markedly worse this year. On top of that, he has a long, expensive contract. At this point, he is a cap dump.

I wouldn't go this far. He's still a starter on a bad team, but I don't think he falls into the elite category anymore. We can be certain with the way NHL gms work, there are a few that would pay a good bit to have him on their team. One thing I know for fact is that this package is far too much.

You'd have to be absolutely mad to not accept this offer.
Buffalo certainly wouldn't do this, and no other team would either
