Debrincat has a 9 mil QO. Still cost #7, #39 and a 3rd. SJS would really have to love Holtz.

Yes, but I see two issues here.
1. DeBrincat is a better player than Meier by a fair bit.
2. DeBrincat is actually worth an extension at his 9m QO, Meier is not worth an extension at him 10m QO.

Therefore Holtz or a 2023 1st rd pick should make up almost all of Meier’s value on its own.
