What do you think his rights would cost this off season if he ends up saying he won’t sign an extension? Genuinely curious

UFA rights are not worth much. Be awfully surprised if it was any more than 2nd. And i doubt it comes to that.

yea that's valid lol, i figure even if the bruins don't wanna risk losing him for nothing in UFA it'd take an absolutely stupid package including an immediate replacement to pry him away while they're this good

Detroit have no use for LD we already have the deepest prospect pool in the league on that position.

Chytil is playing very well this season and is on pace for his best season yet. Why are we trading him? (Let alone for scraps).

good to know! the return for lindgren is just picks so you can replace detroit with pretty much anyone, i just used them bc yzerman seems like the type of guy who'd want a pretty good young defenseman on an affordable contract from a cap-strapped team

Pasta is obviously a great player but NYR can't really get caught up in anymore overpaid stars contracts. That would destroy this already limping depth of that team.

bc the salary cap exists, he's a pending RFA, and the rangers decided to give large long-term contracts to two other centers in the past 13 months

Even if Detroit happened to make the playoffs I still would make this trade.

valid! the depth on this roster isn't great, especially at C, one thing to note that i can't depict here is trouba and kreider's NMCs both become partial NTCs on 7/1/24 and at least one of them would be traded for cap relief that summer

As much as I like Lindgren, Detroit declines. Besides Rangers aren't trading him. He has great chemistry with Fox.

True, but then it becomes a modified trade clause which still can make this diffcult. Problem nr 2 is if to trade for pasta it would take much more.

Detroit's not giving up a potential top 14 pick for a position of strength, While Lindgren would be nice we're not surrendering no 2023 1st round pick for him.

Sabres aren't dumpster diving for failed prospects, they'll just keep their picks

    No thanks from the Sabres
Trade makes ZERO sense for us, & we’d definitely have no interest
Just drafted three Centers in last year’s draft,
and we still have Tage Thompson & Cozens who aren’t going anywhere, along with Mittelstadt & Krebs

Chytil isn’t a guy we’d have any interest in whatsoever
Especially for the ridiculous price of two 2nds- he’s not even worth one

Chytil is the biggest dog I've ever seen - I saw his numbers were pretty good so I checked it out and yep it's his contract year- million dollar talent 5cent work ethic
