they could probably get kubalik for holtz, which would be a huge trade for both teams

Holtz is a top 20 prospect in the league. He should be sufficient, more or less, for any available player. He’d be an overpay for Kubalik or Anderson

The guy in this article sounds like a total idiot - he says the Devils wouldn't trade 2OA this summer for Anderson but they'd think about trading Simon Nemec for him - you know, the same Simon Nemec that they literally drafted 4 months ago with 2OA.

If Habs fans are gonna go around believing any random dude who has a podcast, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe if I buy www.HabsHockeyToday.com and post that New Jersey doesn't have the cap space and that Josh Anderson would be the 5th or 6th best forward on the Devils we'll finally stop seeing this "rumor" get kicked around.

5th or 6th best forward? That is mighty generous.

I just read on NewJerseyHockeyNow.com about the Habs interest in Johnsson

One team that wants him badly, and I mean badly, because I’m sure there’s a couple of teams that would take him. The Montreal Canadiens want Andreas Johnsson badly,” said Perkins regarding the Canadiens’ continued interest in the Devils’ forward. “Believe me when I tell you that."

Now, whenever a team is interested a player, the return is always important. The Canadiens were not interested in giving up a 1st overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft for Johnsson, but may be convinced to move a top youngster in a bigger package, according to Perkins.

“They’re not trading Nick Suzuki and they’re not trading Kirby Dach. I don’t know how much they’d be willing to give up, but they have some players, some that are not on this team right now. I’m talking about wingers Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky, Filip Mesar,” suggested Perkins on a potential target for the Devils. “They want Andreas Johnsson badly, and it doesn’t mean you have to do a ‘one-vs-one’ deal. You can spice it up by throwing in other players or other picks, but I can tell you right now, based on what I’m hearing, that the Canadiens want Johnsson badly.”
