Which article are we supposed to be reading? I'm going to take a wild stab and say it's either from nhltraderumors.com or thehockeywriters.com...

Bro Anderson does not have close to that value. No chance New Jersey would trade Holtz + for an overpaid middle-six winger

Devils could just call Yzerman in Detroit and get Robby Fabbri for much cheaper.

they could probably get kubalik for holtz, which would be a huge trade for both teams

Oh a Montreal hockey blog. How silly of me to think that it would have been from an equally unreputable source.

I'd do it but NJ wouldn't.

they gave 1.5mil too much for Anderson, a 6x4 deal would've been great, but not 6x5.5, maybe retain to get to the 4mil range but thats gon add to the price.

every struggling pro does well against the leafs, no name goalies having shutouts, rookies scoring their first goals, old players ending their slumps, we are a cursed franchise. Scott wedgewood had a 50 saves against us one game and matthews had like 10 good shots, its crazy, then this year he stopped 40+ against us

What an astoundingly stupid return for a 3rd liner on a bad contract. What next, Hischier and a 1st for Price and Armia?

The article posted is nuts.

Some guy named Tony Marinaro:

"I’m talking Luke Hughes, Simon Nemec, and Alexander Holtz. Throw in other players or other picks, but I can tell you right now, based on what I’m hearing, that the Devils want Anderson badly.”

As a die hard Habs fan, there is no chance the Devils give up Holtz for Anderson.
Anderson's value is not that high, mainly because of his heavy contract.

I would LOVE to see that trade.
But it's not happening.

Again, I'm a die hard Habs fan

The guy in this article sounds like a total idiot - he says the Devils wouldn't trade 2OA this summer for Anderson but they'd think about trading Simon Nemec for him - you know, the same Simon Nemec that they literally drafted 4 months ago with 2OA.

If Habs fans are gonna go around believing any random dude who has a podcast, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe if I buy www.HabsHockeyToday.com and post that New Jersey doesn't have the cap space and that Josh Anderson would be the 5th or 6th best forward on the Devils we'll finally stop seeing this "rumor" get kicked around.

Holtz is not being moved unless it’s for a big time player like Timo Meier. Anderson is a middle six forward on a HORRENDOUS contract
