sandin wont be a healthy scratch, timmins wont be waived, and brodie looks better running his own line, it might be interesting to pursue a D upgrade but lets face it, if we do it'll be rielly getting a new lyubushkin type of player. def not LHD and we wont pay a 3rd for a guy who got waived.

Why did you feel the need to post this twice?

You can keep the 3rd. Boston would still do it.

I'd agree with the Sandin and Brodie things, Timmins is a project let's face it. He'll have a month or so to prove he can be the 7th D on the team if not I don’t mind him getting claimed on waivers. In this scenario, it's not really giving up a draft pick it's moving back ~25 spots back in the draft.

This wouldn't be the only move they make LOL. They would still have their 1st and other assets to make a move closer to the deadline for an impact forward.

it still doesnt make it worth doing, he is to expensive and you bury sandin. if you thought he was hard to sign this year it will be way worse next time.

I didnt really put too much stock into the lines, I'd probably deploy a line up in the playoffs like this:

Reilly - LIljegren

Reilly - Brodie

Giordano - Sandin

Why would we not just trade a Random Roster Player on the Marlies & then just claim Rielly for 0 assets
